The Britney Spears court saga seems to never end, getting more and more twisted.

Attorney Jon Eardley challenged the court order that named the pop artist's father co-conservator of her estate, but his bid was dismissed by a California court on Monday.

A panel of three judges of California's 2nd District Court of Appeals explained that an appeal against the conservatorship cannot be heard due to the fact that under California law "granting letters of temporary conservatorship is specifically excluded from those orders made appealable."

However, Eardley promised not to renounce on the battle on behalf of the singer, claiming that he would challenge the conservatorship order on two quintessential points. He claims that the inabilities of the conservatee to bind the estate and to choose her own counsel can be appealed.

A California court named Britney Spears' father, Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet co-conservators of the artist's affairs on February 1, following two hospitalizations of the pop artist in a mental ward in January. Their conservatorship was extended until July 31.

Jon Eardley filed his challenge against the conservatorship on March 11. In February he also tried to move the case from state to federal court, but his request was thrown out, given the fact that he couldn't be Britney's legal representative, as at the time she had no authority to choose one.

The "Blackout" artist's erratic behavior dates back in November 2006, after her breakup from ex-hubby Kevin Federline. She became the favorite target for paparazzi, due to her partying habits, her rehab stints, pink wig or fake English accent. Spears has lost the custody of her two sons and has been hospitalized twice for psychological evaluation.
